We are pleased to announce the opening of the Forte Gallery, located in Egg Harbor, Door County WI.

The Forte Gallery will feature an eclectic variety of artwork, including one or two of our Green Lake artists! The Forte will open for the season on May 29 2008.

We are proud to announce that the cover-art for the 2008 Green Lake Magazine has been provided by our featured artist Rebecca Andersen.

We have signed prints of the cover-art available at the gallery, along with a variety of Rebecca's original work. Congratulations to Ms. Andersen for her excellent work and achievement!

We have only a handful of copies of Jack Zellner's watercolor work "Fishing" remaining. This work is featured on the cover of the 2007 Green Lake Magazine and is available as a collectible Ltd. Edition. (we do have the original, please contact us for details).

The Green Lake Local Arts Gallery features a nautical theme with a wide range of local Lake art. Serigraphs from Gene Hamilton along with Museum grade model boats are available at The Boat House.

Green Lake is a great place to find art in Wisconsin, we hope you will have the opportunity to visit us in 2008. We are open full-time from mid-May through end September and on weekends or by appointment at other times.

Established July 2006, our goal at the Green Lake Local Arts Gallery is to provide local area artists with a year-round workspace and venue to exhibit their work, and to provide the public with access to the finest art the area has to offer.

AREA INFORMATION
For those unfamiliar with the area, GL has the benefit of a 20,000 strong local community, along with an estimated 450,000 visitor tourist trade. (figure supplied by the GL Area Chamber of Commerce).

OUR MISSION
By creating an interactive workspace where locals can meet with artists and watch them go about their work, we hope to stimulate both awareness and participation in the arts.
