MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND ART OPENING WITH ROB PRICE

I would like to thank Rob Price and all who attended our first 2007 season Gallery opening on Memorial Day weekend.

This was the first unveiling of the new Gallery layout, as implemented by Jack Zellner and Linda Graves, our new Gallery managers. The layout is clean, bright, functional and opens up new space for displaying the wide range of art we have on offer.

It was pleasure to meet with Rob and learn a little about the man behind the marvelous watercolors we have on permanent display. Rob has lead and continues to lead an interesting life, having spent much of his adult life in various teaching capacities.

The attendance for this event was very encouaging, particularly given that we are still pre-season here in Green Lake.

ART IN GREEN LAKE WI
Established July 2006, our goal at the Green Lake Local Arts Gallery is to provide local area artists with a year-round workspace and venue to exhibit their work, and to provide the public with access to the finest art the area has to offer.

GREEN LAKE AREA
For those unfamiliar with the area, Green Lake has the benefit of a 20,000 strong local community, along with an estimated 450,000 visitor tourist trade. (figure supplied by the Green Lake Area Chamber of Commerce).

OUR MISSION
By creating an interactive workspace where locals can meet with artists and watch them go about their work, we hope to stimulate both awareness and participation in the arts.
