Completely hand-built and sculpted in solid Sterling Silver, this buckle is designed to fit on any 1.25” (1 and ¼” width) belt that allows for interchangeable buckles. It features hand-carved sterling accents soldered and polished on a textured and oxidized background. The centerpiece is Fordite.
Materials
Fordite, also called Motor Agate or Detroit Agate, is an entirely man-made jewel created by scraping layers of the enamel paint slag that had been dripped into pools onto the metal tracks. WH's Fordite is sourced from the Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge plant. The colors and patterns of Fordite can vary dramatically, and no two pieces are ever the same.
