Finding your Ring Size

One of the most common questions we encounter when we talk about rings is “how do I know my finger size?”. We are happy to help you figure out the right ring size, or send you a ring sizing kit anywhere in the US.

Helpful hints

  • Measure more than once as finger size can vary with diet, exercise, time of day, and temperature - from 1/4 to 1/2 size.
  • For a wider band, size up! Wide rings feel tighter, so you want to go up between ½ and 1 size!
  • For delicate solitaires, size down to avoid spinning
  • The profile of the ring will also effect the size your wear.  A ring that is flat inside will feel tighter than a ring that is domed or curved inside.

How to measure your ring size:

Measure the circumference

Ring sizes are determined by a numerical scale based on the circumference of your finger. You can estimate size by measuring the circumference of your finger, using the chart here.

This is not a perfect method, but it will give you a general idea.

  1. Take a piece of string or a thin strip of paper.
  2. Wrap it around the base of your finger, making sure it can go over your knuckle!
  3. Mark the point where the string or paper meets and measure the length.
  4. Use a ring size chart to match the measurement to the corresponding ring size.

Use an existing ring

If you have a band that fits, you can download this chart. You will need to print it out and place it on a flat surface, making sure the edge of the band lays flat on the circle
