Michael Jensen
Green Lake Gallery is thrilled to welcome Michael Jensen Designs, the artistic partnership of Michael and Catherine Jensen, to our collection of artist-made jewelry. With over 33 years of experience crafting custom-designed jewelry and metalwork, Michael Jensen Designs merges historical inspiration with expert craftsmanship and sustainable practices.

Michael Jensen, an artist and metalsmith for over 41 years, has a background in sculpture and engineering, lending his work a masterful balance of form and structure. Catherine Jensen, a Graduate Gemologist (GIA), brings deep knowledge of gemstones, ensuring that every piece is created with precision and care. Their shared passion for jewelry’s rich history—particularly ancient and Victorian influences—shines through in their designs, which reinterpret classical aesthetics in a fresh, contemporary way.

The collections featured in the Gallery are created with sterling silver and 22k gold (sometimes complemented by bronze and titanium), and feature their signature distressed textures with patina or oxidized finishes.
Each piece tells a story—a fusion of history, artistry, and innovation. Their jewelry is meant to be more than an accessory; it is an expression of art, a tribute to historical craftsmanship, and a connection to the past, reimagined for today.
